Demi Lovato has admitted that she is "really upset" about this week's X Factor USA results.
Lovato's act Paige Thomas was sent home on Thursday night in the show's double elimination, which also saw Vino Alan voted out of the competition.
Lovato later took to her Twitter page to express her disappointment with the outcome.
"Really upset to see @PaigeAva go home," she wrote. "She did way too well to be sent home. We'll miss you beautiful girl.. It was great working with you."
Thomas also responded to her disappointment on her Twitter page, saying: "First I want to thank GOD! It was his will so it's his way I want. Next I want to thank my #Misfits for everything. Im already 2 steps ahead.
"So if I came off ungrateful I apologise. I think I was in shock mode and ment 2 say I can't wait to start moving on to bigger things god has planned for me. I know my journey won't end here. I am forever thankful 4 @TheXFactorUSA @LA_Reid @SimonCowell @ddlovato and @britneyspears."
Meanwhile, Lovato vowed to stand by her remaining act CeCe Frey, who recently suggested that the judges have been too tough on her.
"Nobody wants this more than CeCe does," she wrote. "Nobody is willing to fight as hard as CeCe is. America... this girl will NOT let you down..
"I will literally do anything for this girl to win. ANYTHING....."
Lovato also tweeted Frey directly, writing: "I'm so proud of you. You are such a star on the inside and out. Just you and me baby!!! We GOT this!!!"
