One Direction Hit #1 On iTunes Chart With 'Take Me Home' - And Their Album Isn't Even Out Yet!

UK band One Direction excited their legion of teenage fans last week, when they released the album artwork and titled for their new CD!

Their second album Take Me Home was available to pre-order from Sunday, ahead of its release on November 9, and shot to #1 on the iTunes chart.

Eager fans who have actually not heard anything from the album, were so keen on the release that they pre-ordered it, guaranteeing its success.

It means that One Direction now have three unreleased items in the iTunes Top 10: Take Me Home Yearbook edition (for $20.99) which sits at No.1, the standard $16.99 version is at No.4 and the band's five track Live While We're Young EP is No.8..

If you are a super keen (and fairly rich) directioner, there is also the super limited edition box set - selling for $60, that includes a 36 page picture book, t-shirt, wristband, sticker sheet and the CD.

Fans are now eagerly counting down until September 25th to hear the first single from Take Me Home, titled 'Live While We're Young'.
