Emulating Daniel Radcliffe, her co-star in the Harry Potter films, Emma Watson, wants to perform on the capital’s stage.
“I love musical theatre, so, I would love to do a musical soon, that would be wonderful,” she tells Mandrake at a screening of her film, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, at The Mayfair Hotel in London.
She says her film, which tells of how a group of misfits find solace in performing routines from The Rocky Horror Show, has given her “a taste for cabaret and singing and dancing.”
The 22 year-old is prepared for the more revealing costumes such a part could bring, and, indeed, had to try on the odd risque outfit for the film. “I was terrified of the Rocky Horror scenes, but, as it turned out, it was fun, and once I got over how weird it was to go from wearing knitted jumpers to corsets and fishnets, I got it together.”
Radcliffe, of course, did away with clothes all together when he appeared on stage in Equus in 2007.
