Recently, Selena Gomez has stepped it up in the fashion department, but she still looks to some other stars for style inspiration — and one of them happens to be an Oscar-winning actress.
“Someone I love when it comes to fashion is Gwyneth Paltrow,” Gomez told PEOPLE at the launch of her namesake fragrance at Macy’s in New York City. “I think she’s so classy and sophisticated, but still very fierce in a way.”
The 19-year-old pop star went on to say that she looks to Paltrow when choosing her own red carpet dresses. “You always notice what she’s wearing,” she explained. “Half the time it’s just like a white dress, but it’s gorgeous.”
Although Gomez has started taking fashion risks on the red carpet and in ELLE, she keeps it casual when it comes to her everyday look.
“My personal style is classic,” she revealed. “Especially in the summer — I’ve been wearing a lot of long flowy dresses, just because I like things that are light and just classic.”
The celeb inspiration behind the maxis she’s been spotted in lately, while hitting the town with boyfriend Justin Bieber? Rachel Bilson. “I love her style,” she admitted. “I just think it’s very cute.”
