IT WAS One Direction mania all over again in Brisbane, but this time the popular boy band were nowhere in sight.
That sound you might have heard this morning was the screams of tweens gone wild, as One Direction's "pop-up" shop opened in the City.
With some dedicated fans camping out overnight, the 1D World shop popped open at 9am today, purveying all manner of wares emblazoned with the pop idols' image and logo.
Fans will be stocking up ahead of the group's next tour in 2013.
The store is open for nine days at 201 Elizabeth St, City. Previous openings in New Zealand, Sydney and Melbourne were similarly swamped.
Limited merchandise includes T-shirts, hoodies, posters, photo sets, wristbands, photo frames, phone covers, bags, notebooks, dolls and more.
The 100th and 200th customers each scored a double pass to next year's sold-out Brisbane concert.
One Direction perform at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on September 11 and 12, 2013.
