With a tendancy to flirt with Simon Cowell and a lack of hesitation at telling him where to stick it, David Walliams became the true hero of this year's Britain's Got Talent... and it looks like Demi Lovato is going down similarly well on The X Factor USA.
Insiders at the first two days of auditions, shot in Texas, say that the teen starlet is eclipsing Britney Spears as the breakout star of the talent show's second season.
"Demi has really been brave with Simon, constantly reminding him how young she is and how old he is," said a source told Ace Showbiz.
"Within a few minutes of judging starting, Demi called Simon 'grandpa' because he's seemingly decided to play the role of Cupid for her."
The 'Skyscraper' singer also provided one of the best zingers of the shoot when Simon flirtatiously told a cute 22-year-old auditionee that it was a shame he hadn't met her ten years ago. "More like 30," quipped Demi.
He then playfully posted on Twitter: "Demi - very very very annoying."
While all this was going on, we assume Britney Spears - who cost $14 million more than Lovato - was sitting there smiling sweetly.
