Selena Gomez has enjoyed loads of fame during 2011, but the Wizards of Waverly Place actress and When the Sun Goes Down singer swears that fame won't change her. Not even being Justin Bieber's girlfriend will go to this very grounded young lady's head.
According to a report from Hollywood Life, Selena answered questions asked by various media outlets during a roundtable press event on Thursday. It was more than clear while she was answering these questions that she remains a very humble, down-to-earth kind of girl.
One of the questions Selena was asked was how her perception of herself and other's perception of her has changed her life.
"Nothing has changed for me," she replied. "I mean, yeah, you get recognized occasionally, but I'm not scared of that."
Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber do in fact get recognized almost everywhere they go. They are known for being incredibly generous with their time--frequently posing for pictures and signing autographs for fans even when they're out simply trying to do their own thing. They don't make obstacles of themselves if fans don't recognize them first, however.
"I want to go do things," Selena says. "I want to go out, I want to see the places that I'm going to — so obviously I do that, and don't let [the attention] be a factor."
It seems that fame is nothing but a slight bump in the road for both Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber. It hasn't kept them from doing the things they want to do or visiting the many places they want to travel. And while on their adventures the only real difference between them and the people who ask for their autographs and photos is the presence of body guards--which has unfortunately become a must for safety in this crazy world.
Selena claims she's the same person today as she was prior to all of her fame--the very same person deep down inside, of course. Do you think that's even possible?
