Demi Lovato and Nicki Minaj are among two of the artists found on many music fans' playlists these days. A recent poll asked readers which female solo artists would be most likely to be included on their "ultimate 2011 playlist." Both Demi and Nicki were among those in the poll.
According to the poll results right now, Demi Lovato is leading the way over her competitors. She's got over 400 votes to take 27% of them for Skyscraper. She followed by Nicki Minaj at 21.65%, or 352 votes. Nicki's song Super Bass is the nominated choice. Nicki had a successful 2011 with multiple hot songs on the charts and radio, so it's no surprise she'd be up near the top of this voting. Both she and Demi Lovato will be a part of different New Year's Eve celebrations, with pal Selena Gomez joining Demi for a special, and Nicki Minaj as part of Dick Clark's special.
Meanwhile, not far behind in third is a near tie between singers Adele and Taylor Swift. Adele's Someone Like You is the choice, along with Mean by Swift. Sorry, Katy Perry, your song Firework may have done well on the radio, but the readers have you dead last with just under 10% of votes!
Surprisingly, Selena Gomez was left off the poll choices, probably to avoid an unfair bias in her favor. Her song, Love You Like a Love Song, was a catchy tune that was popular with many people. It may have been unfair to put Selena on the poll because she'd win by a landslide due to her popularity. What do you think, should she still be included, or would that be just too unfair to the others?
