Is pop singer Justin Bieber looking to follow in the footsteps of actor and venture capitalist Ashton Kutcher?
Kutcher, 33, is with an older woman, his 48-year-old wife, actress Demi Moore.
Bieber, 17, is dating 19-year-old actress and singer Selena Gomez.
And now, according to a rumor reported by Business Insider, Bieber, like Kutcher, is investing in tech start-ups.
What proof does Business Insider, or anyone else, have? Well, so far nothing that has been released publicly. But Business Insider's Alyson Shontell did say in her report that it "heard about a stealth New York startup Bieber invested in last week," and that while it isn't "at liberty to announce which startup just yet," it did describe the company as "a good-natured" firm with "other high-profile celebrity backers on board."
Shontell also made reference to Bieber -- an Ontatio, Canada, native -- playing a pick-up basketball game with Canadian Steve Nash (of the NBA's Phoenix Suns) and investor Michael Duda. Nash and Duda are the co-founders of Consigliere, a marketing firm and investment fund that reportedly has funded the New York start-ups Birchbox, StellaService and Chloe & Isabel.
Officials at Consigliere and Bieber's representatives were unavailable on Wednesday afternoon to comment on the rumor.
