Taylor Swift, in Tibi, runs into some of her fans as she arrives at the Z100 radio station in NYC on Friday morning (July 22).
Just before making her way to Madison Square Garden, the 21-year-old musician stopped by The Elvis Duran Show and opened up about connecting with her fans, her ‘difficult’ job and her obsession with Target. Check it:
On being grateful for her job: “This is not hard work. I get to do this, I don’t have to do this. It has never been something that feels like a difficult job, so I’m thankful I get to do it every day.”
On shopping at Target: “Yes! You’re like I don’t have a cat, but I want that cat toy and I don’t know why. I’m gonna buy that…Target is very important…especially in Nashville. It’s where I went to go buy my album when it came out last fall.”
On hearing the fans reactions to her music: “It’s such an amazing compliment [to hear the reactions]… These are songs that I wrote about things that I was going through….When I was writing 15, I felt like I must be the only person who has ever felt this way…When you’re writing lyrics you’re alone, but then when you put it out into the world, and someone says this helped me, this is my life too, it just makes you feel like you’re not alone.”
