Justin Bieber wil reportedly embark on a charity campaign to repair his damaged image following a string of PR disasters, a source has claimed.
It hasn't been a great 2013 so far for Bieber as he's gone from squeaky clean popstar, to bad boy party animal who's been banned from clubs, photographed allegedly smoking a blunt and almost coming to blows with a paparazzi.
Now his team are said to be in overdrive to try and repair his damaged image and are going to be publicising his charity work over the next few weeks, to show he's not just about his bad boy behaviour.
“Justin’s people said that instead of trying to fight all the bad press, he’s going to put his energy into doing good,” a source told HollywoodLife.
“He already does a lot to give back — most of the time he doesn’t even publicise it.
"But they’re looking at doing some stuff that’s more high-profile because he’s been getting so beaten up in the media, and they want to shine the light back on the good. They haven’t signed anything yet but they’ve been talking about linking up and getting Justin really involved, with TV spots and the whole nine yards."
They added: "Everyone is crossing their fingers that it happens because it could make such a huge difference.”
Bieber recently admitted he was hurt by claims he's a "bad person."
"The biggest misconception about me is that I'm a bad person. I get upset about that," he told Us Weekly. "I have a big heart,"
Claiming he wants to be a role model, the star claimed: "I want to be a good role model, but some people want me to fail. I'm young and I make mistakes. That's part of growing up."
Adding: "I know who I am and I'm not gonna let negativity towards me bring me down. I'm a positive person and I plan on staying that way."
Let's hope he manages it!
The star is currently on the European leg of his Believe world tour. He was caught up in controversy earlier this week after it was revealed he maybe fined for not picking up his pet monkey Mally, who was seized by German officials as Bieber didn't have the correct paperwork.
