Adele‘s “Hello” music video racked up 27.7 million views within the first 24 hours on the web, which broke the previous record-holder’s view count!
The previous record holder was Taylor Swift for “Bad Blood,” which had 20.1 million views within 24 hours. Taylor and Adele both debuted their videos in very different ways, which may have added effected the view counts. Taylor debuted “Bad Blood” during the 2015 Billboard Music Awards, while Adele just previewed a short clip from the video during The X-Factor UK.
