What now?
We can only imagine this interview was done before their recent adorbs selfie pic sesh and all the sweet things they've been saying about each other because how else do you explain Demi's answers?
When asked by the mag about whether she and Selena are talking these days after having "some ups and downs over the years," she boils it down to a one word answer: "Nope."
When pressed for more info, asked if their falling out had anything to do with Justin Bieber, Demi said: "He's actually a nice guy. I don't really know him that well, but he seems to have grown up. He looks like he's maturing. But, you know, when you're young and you get older, you change and people change. You have things in common, and then all of a sudden, you don't. It's just a part of life."
We've heard this from Demi in the past, about moving on from friendships - but given that Demi followed Sel on Instagram and then Selena gave a birthday shoutout to Demi...and that selfie (which went down when they caught up over dinner recently), we have to believe that they're on good terms again.
Right?
Plus, remember that cute message Demi recorded for Selena on a French radio station? She heard it during her interview with NRJ this week and responded, saying, "Oh, that's so nice."
