Now that Zayn Malik is single, you can expect an almost steady flow of dating rumors - first there was buzz that he was crushing on Kylie Jenner (he even went to her birthday party!) and now comes a report that he and Zendaya have been "chatting." So that means dating, right?

Wellll...not exactly, as a source told The Sun that "Zayn is talking to a lot of ladies very casually, but Zendaya is the most high-profile."

The insider added that it was all sort of on a profesh level - you know, music and fashion: "He said they should get in the studio together as they both have a similar R&B vibe, and he's been talking about fashion as she's in London working with Vivienne Westwood."

The source noted, "It's just chatting at the moment but his pals think they'll meet up to record something soon."

Yeah...about that.

Zendaya was quick to shoot the whole thing down, while having a laugh. She responded to a fan who was trying to track down whether Zayn and Zendaya even had met before, writing: "‪@meylingangeline‪ literally NEVER met‪ #gottaloveit"
