After showing off her singing chops in Pitch Perfect 2, the 18-year-old dropped her debut song "Love Myself" Friday and couldn't help but tweet her excitement about it when fans heard it and lost their minds.
This has LITERALLY been me ALL DAY. This has been unreal guys. I can't believe it's out. I love you. #LOVEMYSELF http://pic.twitter.com/05Qkzyu3SD

In it, Hailee sings about self empowerment, crooning, "I'm gonna put my body first/And love me so hard 'til it hurts/I know how to scream out the words/Scream the words/Gonna love myself, no, I don't need anybody else/ Gonna love myself, no, I don't need anybody else/ Can't help myself, no, I don't need anybody else/ Anytime, day or night." We so get why she and Taylor Swift are besties. If Hailee's first catchy single is any indication, she has a long singing career ahead of her. The True Grit star dished on her budding music career in an interview with with Elvis Duran on Z100's Morning Show Friday. "It's been a crazy last six months."
"I've been working nonstop in the studio and I think I will have more music at the end of the year, early next year," she continued. "Honestly, music has always been such a huge part of my life and always a part of my plan. Making music has always been something I wanted to do, it's really only been a matter of when. I made Pitch Perfect 2 last year, and after that I kind of just fell into making this. It all happened very organically, and it's been amazing! I've made time and I've fallen in love with the whole process."
We've fallen in love with her voice and can't wait to see what her debut album has in store.
