The two ladies got Swifties all upset when they posted photos of themselves hanging out with T-Swift's said-to-be rival Katy Perry on Monday. Wait, isn't that against girl code? Pretty much.
Ellie was in Taylor's latest music video. You know, the one that's so about Taylor's "Bad Blood" with Katy. Lorde has been well-known friends with Tay for awhile now. So it wasn't surprising that fans thought it was super weird to see them hanging with Katy.
In the pic posted on both of the singer's Instagram accounts, the ladies are posing with a group of mutual friends. "Don't really remember this but... good times," Ellie captioned her shot.
The whole moment looked pretty innocent, but still...how awkward would that be? Everyone knows, or assumes, Taylor's video is a big diss to Katy. Ellie is in the video...you know that can't rub Katy well. Awkward.
Anyway, the attack-of-the-Tay-fans must've been intense. Lorde and Ellie ended up deleting the Katy picture from their account. That's pretty smart if you ask us. Seriously, who wants a "Bad Blood 2" written about them?
