While the sting of Zayn Malik quitting One Direction is still relatively painful, Zayn went and made it completely official. He removed any 1D affiliation from his Twitter handle and profile.
We may need a moment to process this. Yes, we realize he left the band over a month ago, but we've still been working through it and this just feels like pouring salt into the wound.
Still, we can't blame Zayn for removing the 1D from his Twitter handle and taking out the link to the One Direction site. He has moved on from the band, after all, so we'll give him the tiniest bit of credit for letting the dust settle before he made this move.
But still. So. Many. Emotions. All. Over. Again.
He went from @ZaynMalik1D to just @zaynmalik and edited his profile to remove his message "just close your eyes and enjoy the roller coaster that is life :) x" So , no more roller coaster?
As a result of the change, emotional One Direction fans created the hashtag #YouWillAlwaysBeZaynMalik1D.
