It's been almost two months now since Zayn Malik announced he was leaving One Direction, but that doesn't mean that fans are over the heartbreak just yet - even the famous ones.
While you may think that certain groups would take a little bit of joy in Zayn's departure in order to overthrow 1D for top boy band status, it turns out that there's at least one boy band that is pretty bummed about the whole thing. The Vamps expressed their sadness over Zayn's departure on UK radio host Matt Edmondson's #SurpriseKaraoke on Radio 1 in the way boy bands due best: through song.
The Vamps took their hit tune "Oh Cecilia" and reworked it to star none other than Zayn. Instead of "Oh Cecelia, you're breaking my heart," the band sings, "Oh Zayn Malik, you're breaking our hearts," which is exactly how Directioners have felt this spring. The guys beg Zayn for a solo CD if he's really not coming back to 1D and even joke that he's probably kissing his fiancee Perrie Edwards now that he's not on tour with the band.
Zayn had his reasons for leaving One Direction and fans should respect his wishes, but hey, at least he knows that he'll be missed for quite some time, even by his musical peers. Check out the whole video below:
