The hotly anticipated One Direction interview with James Corden on The Late Late Show went down last night - and it didn't disappoint.

Fans wondered if there would be any mention of Zayn Malik leaving the band or if they would just carry on with the interview without mention of the band's former member. They did discuss all the feels that went with Zayn's decision to leave though - let's just say it wasn't easy for them, as Liam Payne said they were angry and disappointed.

He explained, "At first we were a little bit angry," adding, "We were surprised, but we all knew the general vibe that Zayn was feeling. You could sort of tell, people on the outside could tell as well."

Liam added, "There's certain parts of this job that Zayn loved and certain parts that he didn't. If you don't like your job then you've got to follow your heart sometimes and go where you need to go. We were angry at first but then it was just a bit more disappointed. We wish him the best of luck with whatever he gets up to...there's no hard feelings."

When asked if they considered calling it quits after Zayn left, Niall Horan said, "Not at all. The four of us love every part of it. The shows have been great on the tour and the fans deserve it. They've been absolutely fantastic to us."

As for that Twitter feud between Zayn and Louis Tomlinson, Louis admitted, "there was a bit of back and forth" saying, "I've never been very good at biting my tongue."

Good news though - the feud is over, as Louis explained, "It's just one of those things. Twitter's great for connecting with the fans, but if you feel like saying something that you probably shouldn't, it's also good for that as well. It's all resolved, it's all good in the hood."

Other highlights: the guys acknowledged the fans' campaign to get "No Control" released as their next single! Plus, they revealed that "One Thing" is no longer on their setlist - does that mean "No Control" will take its place?

During the interview, we also found out that Liam is a great wingman to Louis, they chatted about the weirdest thing that's been thrown on stage, and dished on "Oh no, Niall" becoming a huge joke after he fell down when he caddied for Rory McIlroy. Oh, and Harry Styles did a juice cleanse and sort of talked about that new tattoo.
