April Fool's Day may have been yesterday, but that didn't stop some pranksters from getting "RIP Harry Styles" trending on Twitter. Celebrity death hoaxes are nothing new, but never funny.
Yesterday, the running April Fool's joke hashtag was about Harry being arrested, so it seems someone got bored and decided to give the RIP angle a spin. Plenty of One Direction fans coming on Twitter to find the RIP Harry Styles trend wondered what even was going on.
Many assumed it was the result of a bored fandom, others pinned it on a Harry/1D hater, and a bunch more had a laugh over it. Here are some of the reactions:
