Niall donned the pristine white jumpsuit to take on caddy duties and he was seen looking all around happy as a clam to be there, even if it meant hefting a massive bag of clubs and acting as Rory's right-hand man. No biggie - he was front-and-center at the Masters, so life was good.
Watch as Niall had a bit of a slip and tumble though, which was captured on video for our enjoyment, thankfully, and quickly became the gif of our dreams. It's all together a bit sad and the funniest thing we've ever seen, tbh. Typical Niall, he handled it like no big deal, flashing that million dollar grin and carrying on like a pro.
After his day at the Masters, Nialler did mention his fall with a bit of a joke, writing: "If your walking around augusta , don't step on the pine leaves, slippy as hell Hahahaha! #redfaced !"
Niall's oops moment wasn't lost on his frenemy, Piers Morgan, either, who tweeted: "So far @NiallOfficial, I've watched you hit it in the water & fall over. Think I'll go to bed before things get even worse! #Augusta"
Niall fired back, writing: "@piersmorgan when was the last time you caddied at the par 3 at the masters piers? Oh yeh never ! Back to bed old man!"
All in all, Niall had the day of his life, writing: "Well that was an incredible experience , thanks @McIlroyRory for letting me do that, shame I pulled my shot into the water ! @TheMasters." He added: "I've been lucky enough to do some pretty amazing things, but that's gotta be up there huh? Loved it !"
He also addressed the crappy shot he took, tweeting: "Also , can't say I've ever been so nervous in my life than when Rory handed me that golf club, horrendous shot!" Oh well, he took it all in stride.
