Kanye West can't shut up about his scene stealing moments at the Grammys on Sunday. The outspoken rapper joined On Air With Ryan Seacrest to explain why he went on stage when Beck won over Beyonce.
As for the reason he nearly pulled the same move he did to Taylor Swift at the VMAs? He basically says people wanted him to be a jerk...and that Taylor herself even supported his crashing Beck's stage time!
"You know, I felt like just the whole Grammys, right when that happened, everybody was looking at me, and then people started screaming, 'Kanye! Kanye! Go do it!' Okay, that didn't really happen, these were the voices in my head," he joked. "So the voices in my head told me to go up, and then I just walked, like halfway up the stage."
"What I really wanted to do was joke around with what happened before," he added, saying he meant no disrespect to the musician. "It was kind of a joke, like the Grammys themselves." Zing!
"Taylor Swift came up to me right afterwards, literally right afterwards, and tells me I should have went on stage," the rapper says, adding that the "Blank Space" singer now wants to go into the studio and collaborate with him.
So who knows? Maybe a track featuring Beck will be next.
