Katy Perry grabbed the most followers this year, followed by Justin, Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande and Justin Timberlake in the top five. Fan army rankings included Beliebers at number 1, Directioners coming in second, Lovatics (#4), and Swifties (#9).
According to the 2014 Twitter report, music-related tweets were hot, with #vote5sos, #MTVHottest, #VoteDemiLovato, #MTVEMA among the top hashtags.
Beyonce topped the list of most tweeted about albums, with the list also including 5 Seconds of Summer (#2), Taylor Swift's 1989 (#3) and Ariana Grande's My Everything (#10).
