Joni Mitchell did not like the idea of Taylor Swift portraying her in the upcoming biopic of her life Girls Like Us .
“I squelched that,” the 71-year-old entertainer told the Sunday Times about nixing the 24-year-old star off the short list. “I said to the producer, ‘All you’ve got is a girl with high cheekbones.’ It’s just a lot of gossip, you don’t have the great scenes.” Yikes!
“There’s a lot of nonsense about me in books. . .assumptions, assumptions, assumptions,” Joni added.
Taylor was reportedly circling the role two years ago, but never was confirmed.
