While all of that seems very Miley-like, the Mexican high-ups don't find it humorous and are threatening her with a possibility of jail time. The Nuevo León state legislature has asked the Mexican federal government to fine Miley for disrespecting the country's flag.
She and her dancers could be fined up to $1,200 and/or spend 36 hours in jail. She's not being targeted. Singer Paulina Rubio was fined $4,000 in 2008 for posing in a magazine with a Mexican flag wrapped around her naked body.
