The country's government reportedly banned the "Wrecking Ball" crooner from performing there, which means D.R. Smilers will have to see her hit the stage and grind (on just about everything) in a onesie in some other place.
According to ABC News, the Dominican Republic government commission that oversees public performances banned Miley on the grounds of morality, which essentially means they think her concerts are way too hot for their residents.
Explaining further, the commission said Miley often "undertakes acts that go against morals and customs, which are punishable by Dominican law." We're guessing those acts include twerking on the hood of a car, crotch grabbing and letting fans feel her up during the show. The commission's decision comes after tickets went on sale in July, selling for $27 to $370.
Don't expect Miley to be too phased by the D.R. shutdown, though. The singer has several more concerts to look forward when her tour resumes next month. Following her appearance at the MTV VMAs Sunday, her next stop will be in San Juan, Puerto Rico on Sept. 11.
Miley has yet to comment on the concert cancellation, but, she did post an image of a colorful flower on her Instagram instead Thursday.
