Why was Miley so upset?
The jury's still out on the whole thing because, while a gif and video of the moment exists for us to slow down and carefully dissect, we're not sure if Miley was throwing shade at Ed or not. At first glance, we don't see it, but take a closer look...
Check out the evidence: Ed gets up to go to the stage for his acceptance speech and gives some high fives along the way while Miley sits looking unamused and serious, as she seems to say something in his direction.
A**hole though? She also didn't clap for Ed, which is adding fuel to the rumor that she was dissing him.
Plus, there's supporting evidence that Miley might be pissed at Ed for an interview he gave The Mirror last year, where he commented on Miley's twerk: "It's a stripper move. If I had a daughter of mine, I wouldn't want her twerking. When I first heard Wrecking Ball, I thought it was a brilliant song. But the video distracts too much from it."
