Ariana's new album, My Everything, comes out next month and it won't include Justin, which bummed out a few fans after the two teased something was in the works earlier this year.
She told the Associated Press , "We were working on it. We were in the studio together...We were going to do it, but then we both got busy." She added, "I had to focus on my stuff and he was focusing on his, and it just sort of didn't really get done."
Ariana did hold out a flicker of hope for Arianators and Beliebers, however, noting, "We feel like we owe it to our fans to do something one day. We will finish it and put it out one day, but it just wasn't the right time."
"One day"...yep, that's pretty non-commital.
Ariana has also been so busy she's had to pass on some acting roles that she "really wanted to do" but her music career is her main focus. She explained, "It disappointed me so much because they were horror-related and horror is like my favorite thing in the world. But hopefully down the line I'll be able to work with those people again."
