Miley Cyrus is twerked off. Why? Apparently because her young fans could lose their jobs in California...
An Employment Policies Institute campaign has used Miley's iconic, tongue-crazy image for their billboard claiming she's, "twerked off...because so many California teens will lose their jobs when the minimum wage goes up." The sign will reportedly go up above Sunset Boulevard near La Cienega Boulevard ASAP, and will be used to encourage those to help stop the minimum wage from rising.
So does Miley know about the billboard? Michael Saltsman, research director at the institute, said, "EPI purchased the rights to use the photograph, but we haven't checked with Miley on whether the minimum wage increase is the real reason she's "twerked off." We're not attributing this particular point of view to her, we're just using a fun turn-of-phrase to jump-start a conversation about the unintended consequences of wage mandates."
Miley's not the first celeb's mug this company has used. They put Amanda Bynes' face and Justin Bieber's up there before, too.
