Miley Cyrus likes to think of her concerts as a safety zone.
In a new promo released for the two-hour "Miley Cyrus Bangerz Tour" NBC special, the 21-year-old pop star shares her point of view of life on the road and all of her loyal fans.
"They feel safe in there. And there are not that many places that you're around 20,000 people and you feel safe," she said of the people who pack out the stadiums she performs for.
"I feel like they think that I'm some sort of leader, and I'm giving them kind of the push to go forward."
Cyrus can be seen backstage in the clip as she amps herself and her team up right before show time.
The network's cameras are set to show snippets from Cyrus' performances overseas in Spain and Portugal.
The "We Can't Stop" singer told the May issue of Elle that being relatable to her fans gives her "big purpose."
"(It's) a reason to wake up in the morning that's bigger than to put on my f--king feathers and my little outfits."
Cyrus' special airs Sunday at 9 pm on NBC.
