On the Friday night the country crossover star had delighted fans in Shanghai with a lively performance at the city’s Mercedes-Benz Arena.
During a set that included numerous costume changes, Taylor belted out a string of her better known hits – amongst them I Knew You Were Trouble and the catchy We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.
With the tour keeping her busy until mid-June, the singer admits she’s now looking ahead to her next album.
‘I’ve already been working very hard on it and it’s already my favourite thing that I’ve ever created,’ she said during a press conference in China.
‘So the idea that after Asia, I get to go back and finish everything and get everything completely done and completely wrapped up for a new project, it’s very exciting.’
Taylor was recently forced to cancel a sold-out concert in Thailand after the country came under military rule last week in a coup d'etat.
Concert promoter BEC-Tero announced Tuesday on its website that the concert was cancelled 'due to recent events in Thailand'.
The singer took to Twitter to confirm the move, saying: 'I'm sending my love to the fans in Thailand. I'm so sad about the concert being cancelled.'
The concert in Bangkok was due to take place on June 9. The country is under a nighttime curfew, with everyone ordered to be inside by 10pm. But it is loosely enforced.
