She's never been afraid of experimenting with her look.
But Demi Lovato appeared to have gone crazy with the make-up kit on Sunday as she paraded a dramatic amount of warpaint while heading to perform for a Gay Pride event in New York.
And it was in stark contrast to the more natural look the 21-year-old exhibited while out shopping earlier in the day, so-much-so she looked like a completely different person.
The naturally pretty actress donned fake eyelashes and went heavy with the smoky eyeshadow pallette and black eyeliner.
Her smooth complexion was covered in a thick layer of foundation and she slicked on a coat of hot pink lipstick.
Demi also rocked a rather vampy ensemble for the stage show, consisting of black skinny jeans with a white shirt opened to reveal a black lacy camisole.
She paired it with a black sequined waistcoat and silver choker to add some bling to the look and her purple hued hair was left loose and swept to one side in cascading waves.
The former Disney actress is a huge supporter of gay and lesbian rights and she was no doubt proud to have been asked to perform at the event.
In 2013 the hugely popular Dance On The Pier - which takes place on Pier 26 by the Hudson River - included performances from Cher and Deborah Cox.
Hours earlier, the star was seen clad in a gym-ready outfit of cropped black leggings with marble design and paired them with animal print trainers.
She covered up in an attention grabbing fluorescent green sweater which was slightly too big for the star and hung off the shoulder.
She carried a beautiful black Celine handbag and donned oversize dark sunglasses with funky angular frames.
She scraped her brunette locks up into a high bun which showed-off the unique purple dyed ends.
After browsing a Herve Leger boutique Demi was later seen outside her hotel happily posing for a few selfies with her fans.
Earlier in the day Heart Attack singer Demi took to social media and shared a photo from her Pride rally appearance on Saturday.
In the Instagram snap she poses alongside actress Laverne Cox of Orange Is The New Black and captions: I am so proud that I was able to share the @NYCPride platform with @LaverneCox & share the positive message of equality for all. #PridePortraits'
Meanwhile, the starlet released her new music video for hit single Really Don't Care on Thursday and in it, she cozies up with off-and-on boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama, 34.
The pair briefly engage in a few seconds of PDA before it moves on to the next scene.
The video, filmed while Lovato performed during the colorful L.A. Pride parade earlier in June, showcases the singer whipping her blue and purple locks around while belting out the summer's party song.
Lovato's float can be seen making it's way down the street, surrounded by dancers and party-goers, as she sings, 'But even if the stars and moon collide, I never want you back into my life. You can take your words and all your lies. Oh oh oh I really don't care'.
The song, which was originally written as a break-up ballad, turned into a party tune when Demi found strength and courage in the lyrics.
Demi told E! News, 'When I sing it, I always want to inspire and empower'.
She continued: 'I thought of bullies and the LGBT community who are constantly scrutinized. What better place is there than L.A. Pride to celebrate who you are and not really caring what people think'.
