Louis Tomlinson isn't close to his dad, rumour has it they haven't seen one another in years, but it didn't stop Troy Austin giving an opinion on the video footage showing his son Louis Tomlinson apparently sharing a joint with Zayn Malik.
Talking to The Mirror he said, "I'm worried for him."
He added: "I do believe that being that famous will be taking its toll on them. I think everyone is concerned it could lead to other things."
The 45-year-old dad also gave some information about one of the last conversations he had with the superstar, where Louis vowed never to have tattoos or smoke before he hit the big time.
He said: "He said he would never get a tattoo because it was a scar and he would never smoke because it would damage his vocal cords.
"He's gone the opposite way and I hope it doesn't get worse."
It is still unknown how the video leaked, although a spokesman for the band said in a statement: "The matter is in the hands of our lawyers".
Troy, who has not seen his son for several years, added: "It seems the fame and money have changed him.
"He's a different person to that person three years ago. Where are his management? As far as I know they have the best management that money can buy and those people should be protecting them from things like this."
Last night the boys performed in Sunderland, and half an hour before the concert started, Liam Payne tweeted: "Right everybody concert time lets try and keep the pg rating lol for Christ sake somebody help me restore sanity."
