In sad news — Liam Payne has split up with his girlfriend of eight months, Sophia Smith.
“He’s devastated that it’s over but it was for the best,” a source told Us Weekly. “They were spending too much time apart and it’s only going to get worse this year — the band going on a super long tour, her getting busier with university.”
“Can’t be without you,” the One Direction singer tweeted the night before.
Liam went on to post more cryptic tweets including: “Worse thing I ever did was let you go…No all I got left is the thought of you.”
