Adam Levine is stepping out of his comfort zone and in to acting.
The Voice judge makes his movie debut in Being Again, alongside Keira Knightley and Hailee Steinfeld, as a rock star who dumps a young singer-songwriter new to Manhattan. Meanwhile, Keira, also stepped into new territory--singing for the first time in the film.
"I kept telling her she was great and she wouldn't believe me, and she told me that I wasn't bad at acting either but I didn't believe her, so it was perfect," Levine told the New York Daily News at the closing night of the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City Saturday.
"I was completely terrified," The 29-year-old brunette beauty added about singing in the film. "I didn't anticipate being as frightened as I was. I said yes to doing it and I was, 'Oh, it's gonna be fine, it's gonna be fine,' and then suddenly I found myself in a studio with real people who did it for a living and I was like, 'I don't know what I'm doing. I'm pretending."
When the duo struck a pose on the red carpet at the event with Adam rocking a navy suit, and Keira looking stunning in a shimmery, Chanel dress, we couldn't help but notice Keira's super skinny waist, which not only made waves that day, but also back in March when she showed off her tiny midsection in a monochrome Karl Lagerfeld dress at a Chanel fashion show.
Keira's skinny waist aside, Adam played coy on whether he'll act again, telling the mag, "My experience was so much fun. It made me kind of start to like it a little bit, but I don't know. I don't think you can really make those bold declarations, but we'll see."
Mark Ruffalo also stars in film, which hits theaters in July.
