OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder has the inside scoop on One Direction, after working with the guys recently...and turns out it's all very much of a yawn-fest.
Just as we expected, the One Direction guys are about as normal as possible, considering all that immense fame. In fact, Ryan said it's all a bit of a "turn off." Turn off and One Direction? Does. Not. Compute.
When asked specifically if he's been working with Harry Styles, he told The Guardian: "Is that the rumor? That's an interesting rumor. I don't know if I can confirm or deny that, but what I will say is that I did hang out with One Direction in London. It sounds completely generic to say, but I'm always impressed or extremely happy when I end up in the same room with a band who are at the stage of nuclear explosion in their career and they're so normal it almost turns you off."
He continued, "Like, 'How are you not more messed up right now? I'm looking for syringes, where are they?' Yes, we did do something is the truth. I can't say what it's for, though."
So, he's not squealing on their mystery project, but he is dishing up some pretty basic, not very dirty, 1D dirt. They're normal. And pretty clean-cut. Case closed.
When asked if he thinks Harry will leave One Direction or if the band will break up--well, how would he know? And that's exactly how he responded: "Oh my God, I have no idea. I've never had any conversations with him or any of them regarding that."
