Will.i.am seems to be doing the opposite of most people these days. While a lot of people criticize Justin Bieber, Will.i.am on the other hand is defending the pop star.
According to Music-News.com, Will.i.am told The Sun's TV Magazine that there is nothing wrong with Justin’s behavior because it’s not important that pop stars be role models. Nor does he believe that there are any rules for how a pop star should behave.
"It's really not important that pop stars are role models,” he explains. “There are no rules on how a pop star should act."
He also spoke about why he thinks Justin is going through so much right now. He attributes Justin’s troubles to being in the spotlight.
"Part of the reason that I feel Justin Bieber has had a hard time growing up is because the spotlight and magnifying glass is on him.
Will.i.am probably has a soft spot for the 20-year-old because the two have worked on music together in the past and are friends as a result.
