One Direction are reportedly beefing up security for their upcoming Where We Are tour--you know, to curb crap like that whole Liam Payne underwear snatching incident.
Just what kind of "beefing" is going on, security-wise, that is? Oh...no big deal. Just 100 security guards. For real? We'll have to see how many bodyguards are actually on the 1D detail, but insiders say they want to assemble a big team to get them safely through airports and venues, as well as keep them protected in their hotels.
A source told the Daily Star (via EntertainmentWise): It's mainly Niall and Liam who are starting to get really obsessive about security. Liam's fears grew after two fans stole his pants in Australia last year. Niall is getting more and more sensitive because of his panic attacks. It's an insane amount of security for one band, but considering the way crowds form around them, it's necessary."
After all, those mobs of people can get pretty dangerous and Niall doesn't want to be crowded. Give the guys space. As if. But maybe with a bunch o' hunky security dudes on the job, fans will be a little more respectful.
