College Band Uses Miley Cyrus to Distract Other Basketball Team

What's a better way to distract an entire team of young, male basketball players than with a Miley Cyrus song and her signature American Music Awards kitty cat?!

The band at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) had everyone dancing (and almost twerking!) when they started to play Miley's "Wrecking Ball" during Thursday night's boys basketball game against George Mason University (GMU). The band even waved a flag with the same cat on it that appeared with the singer during her recent AMAs performance!

VCU was playing GMU when they played Miley's popular tune during GMU's free throw attempts. Not only did the crowd get a laugh out of the whole thing but they also sang along and even meowed at the GMU Patriots! Fans were quick to post pics and videos of the entire thing on Instagram. It seems like VCU's Miley defense tactic worked. They ended up winning the game! The final score was 71-57.

What do you think about VCU's idea to use Miley and her song to distract the opposite team?
