Taylor Swift is celebrating her 24th birthday by helping out the cash-strapped Nashville Symphony.
The Tennessean (http://tnne.ws/IM8CWE) reports the singer made a $100,000 contribution to the organization. Nashville Symphony publicist Laurie Davis confirmed the donation on Saturday and said more information would be available on Monday.
The symphony, which has struggled financially, reached a deal with creditors earlier this year to avoid bankruptcy and prevent the sale of its Schermerhorn Symphony Center.
