Justin Bieber has managed to get a lot of bad press this year, but it looks like he's aiming for a new year's turnaround. The pop star interrupted the Boys and Girls Club screening of his new movie, "Believe," on Dec. 16 to bring presents to the underprivileged children.
Bieber welcomed every child in the audience onto the stage and greeted each with a hug and a toy. The singer related to the audience as he served as an early Santa Claus, reportedly saying, "I remember growing up with not a lot. [I] grew up with, you know, no toys and I wanna make sure each and every one of you has a great Christmas." He also sang for the excited fans, including a Christmas song in his brief set list.
Bieber's friend, Ryan Butler, posted a photo of the event on his Instagram account and called the day "heartwarming."
The 19–year–old then sat down and watched the rest of the movie with his new friends. A tweet posted to his account explained to the world how grateful Bieber was to be able to give back.

Bieber has been especially attentive to philanthropic endeavors this year. Reportedly, he has raised over $1 million for relief in the Philippines following Typhoon Haiyan.
