Demi Lovato has already stormed the music charts and become a popular member of the X Factor USA's judging panel but now the star can add best-selling author to her CV as her new book debuts to big sales in the US.
The 21-year-old released Staying Strong last week, with the publication a collection of 365 inspirational quotes and advice to follow throughout the year.
The book is aimed to help the Heart Attack singer's fans through tough times, after the star battled through her own problems with drug addiction and depression in recent years, culminating in a rehab stint at the end of 2010.
Staying Strong has proved to be a big hit with Demi's fans, who dub themselves Lovatics, with the books making its debut on the New York Times Best Sellers chart at number one on the Advice, How-to & Miscellaneous book list.
The publication is Demi's first release in her multi-book deal with her next planned release a memoir which will take a closer look at the singer's past struggles.
The X Factor USA judge recently explained how she has moved forward in her life and that she would rather be known for her talent as opposed to being tabloid fodder.
“I don't really care because those things don’t apply to my life at all. A good example of that is Taylor Swift. We've had conversations about this where I'm like, 'I have so much respect for you as an artist because you don’t have to write about that stuff,” Demi told Entertainment Weekly.
“She's like, 'Well, I don’t go out.' I don’t go out to clubs and I don’t party and to me, it says more when you don’t have to do things for shock value. You're more respected as an artist. And that’s what I want to be, I want to be respected as an artist and not a tabloid headline.”
