A home is a home, unless it’s also a statement. In the case of Nick Jonas, maybe it’s all those things and more.
With the announcement that the Jonas Brothers are breaking up, Nick Jonas made it clear that the fraternal disjunction was going to allow the boys to go their separate ways to do their own “individual things.”
But for the youngest Jonas, and the apparent breaker-upper of the group, the split could also signal independence and his new love dependence on gal pal Olivia Culpo, the 2012 Miss Universe.
Just days after discussing the Jonas Brothers breakup on “Good Morning America,” Nick closed on a $3.2 million L.A. home located in celebrity-stacked Hollywood Hills. The Spanish-style home was built in 1938 and retains all the grace and construction quality of that that era, but with a perfectly detailed update. His purchase was a smart investment. Although he paid over the median home value of $1.366 million, Hollywood Hills home values are rising 21 percent year-over-year.
The property has views of the Pacific Ocean and city lights below, but it’s the cozy, clean interiors that make it a perfect “entry-level” home for the first-time L.A. home buyers. The whitewashed stucco has 4 bedrooms and 5 baths within 2,300 square feet of living space.
There’s speculation fueled by Twitter banter between Nick Jonas and the former Miss Venezuela that the couple might be headed towards a more permanent engagement.
Culpo seemed to be broadcasting a future with Jonas after she gave up her beauty queen crown: “To the very person special person who puts a smile on my face everyday, I can’t wait to start this new chapter with you.”
Jonas did not miss a heartbeat and countered with lyrics from the new Drake love song: “‘I got my eyes on you. You’re everything that I see’ Happy to be in Moscow supporting my girl on her final walk as miss Universe. So proud of you @oliviaculpo.”
In what could have been a warm up for a shared life in the Hollywood Hills, it’s been reported that Jonas took Culpo to Dallas to meet his parents and the rest of the Jonas brothers.
