There have been some surprising celebrity friendships over the years, from Aziz Ansari and Kanye West to Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran, but now Miley Cyrus and Miranda Kerr have been added to the list.
The 20-year old singer and the 30-year old model took a selfie together on Tuesday night, which Miranda quickly posted to Instagram so the world could see the birth of their friendly union.
But even though the photo was taken by Mert Alas, one half of renowned fashion photography duo Mert and Marcus, Miley seemed to have lost two key facial features: her eyebrows.
But clearly Miranda was pretty happy with the final product - well, she still had her eyebrows intact - as she wrote with the picture: 'Shot by the master mertalas with the gorgeous @mileycyrus'.
Miranda had been attending a car event, where Jaguar debuted their new F-TYPE Coupé to a host of celebrity guests, and via an online live stream to the world.
There she rubbed shoulders with Simon Cowell and his pregnant girlfriend Lauren Silverman, model Jodie Kidd, True Blood star Joe Manganiello, British actors Nicholas Hoult and Rupert Sewell, male model David Gandy, London socialite Donna Air and Miley's BFF Kelly Osbourne.
Cyrus wasn't pictured at the event held at Raleigh Studios in Los Angeles, but it looks like she and Miranda ended up at the same after party, and so did Lily Allen it would seem.
The British singer - who makes her chart comeback this week with new single Hard Out Here - flew out to LA on Tuesday and tweeted a picture of herself and the American pop princess at around 11pm Californian time.
No doubt it was an exciting moment for Lily, as she has been open about how much of a fan she is of Miley, telling the Observer: 'Miley's a b****, rising. She's my hero.'
Earlier this year, Allen took to Twitter she share her adoration for the Wrecking Ball star, tweeting after her infamous MTV VMA performance: 'I just love her and anything that is remotely related to her. And if I could just be her then...'
With so much love for Miley, maybe Lily's trip across the pond is more than just a passing visit, but more an opportunity for the two popstars to collaborate on a new single.
