Miley Cyrus fan or not, you can't twerk like her at two high schools in Maryland!
According to Capital Gazette, South River High School and Annapolis High School have reportedly written up no-twerking contracts that students and their parents must sign. If they don't get signed, the student isn't allowed to go to celebrations like homecoming or prom this school year.
Twerking isn't the only dance move not allowed at the school events. The contract bands other "gyrating" moves too.
"The manner of dancing will be appropriate for a school function," reads South River High School's dance contract.
It makes sure to prohibit, "freaking, grinding, or any other dancing that can be construed as vulgar or provocative – including TWERKING!"
What happens if students can't control their twerking needs? Annapolis High School will supposedly escort offenders off the dance floor and possibly ban them from future school dances.
"This, unfortunately, has become the norm. Some of this crazy dancing that makes others feel uncomfortable...some kids feel left out because of the dancing that occurs," Annapolis High School Principal Susan Chittim told the Capital Gazette.
Really, left out because they aren't twerking? Hmm...what do you guys think? Should twerking be allowed in school?
