The 23-year-old singer will star as Rosemary in the film, based on the book by Lois Lowry.
The Giver revolves around a young boy (Brenton Thwaites) who is selected for life service as the Receiver of Memories. He works with The Giver (Jeff Bridges), an older man who teaches the boy to use his sensory gifts.
