One Direction's Liam Payne and Niall Horan: Fan Mobs Have Made Tour "Difficult"

We won't pretend to know how annoying and overwhelming it must be to be One Direction sometimes.

They're so well loved that they rarely seem to catch any peace and quiet before the fans discover where they're hiding and a mob assembles.

For the most part, they take it in stride--it's part of the job of being the hottest boy band in the world, after all.

Liam Payne and Niall Horan shed a little light on how "difficult" their tour has been in Australia this time around, with Liam telling The Herald Sun, "To be fair it has been quite difficult in Australia this time," adding that it's hard to leave the hotel at times.

He noted, "In the grand scheme of things worldwide I have gone out a lot less in Australia than anywhere else. I tried to go shopping one day and literally within minutes there were 60 girls following me around the shops. If one picture of you gets tweeted everyone knows exactly where you are and that's you done for the day then you're stuck with people following you around."

He added, "We are just normal lads, we do want our privacy sometimes just to throw a football around and let off a bit of steam, rather than constantly being in the public eye."

Case in point, Liam took in a little surfing recently and from pics that have popped up on Twitter, he was followed by a swarm of fans as he left the beach.

You can run, but you can't hide, Liam.

Niall agreed, but said you can't be holed up in your room all the time, explaining, "You have to look past it sometimes and just get out. There's no point living like a prisoner in your hotel. Even if they are nice hotels."
