Liam Payne's underwear was stolen by some pretty sneaky fans...
And if you think they got away with the panty raid, think again. The thief was caught wearing the undies!
One of the panty thieves, a 13 year old girl, told Sydney's Daily Telegraph about the undergarment heist, saying that Liam caught them and they panicked.
She explained, "It was terrifying. They (the pants) were on the balcony, then I heard someone say, 'hello', and so I jumped the fence. Liam seemed really confused."
She added, "He didn't say anything to us directly, he just said, 'hey' and looked at us then we legged it."
The culprit even smuggled Liam's unmentionables under her skirt.
Her 14 year-old partner in crime added "I don't want to get in trouble. I called my mum and she told me that I probably shouldn't have done it and it was a bad idea because it is against the law. But she doesn't seem too worried."
She added, "Liam seems really angry."
Liam tweeted about the incident, writing, "Strangest way I've ever been woken up, When ur in bed butt naked an sum1 is trying to force open your balcony this is gunna be a strange day" he wrote on Twitter.
He continued, "So happy I woke up cuz that s**t would have been so unfair."
Liam explained the missing item, saying, "Hmmm somebody stole my boxers I'm so embarrassed"
Then he gave the details: "So how this happened... I went in the sea in those hotel staff put them outside to dry sum1 climbed on and stole them just to set the scene"
Liam even had a hashtag for the crime, writing, "#breakingintoSomeonesHouseAndStealThereUnderwearDay right I'm off to scarlett johansson's house"
Kind of sounds like these fans crossed the line, huh?
