@KatieHolmes212 is already verified and amassed over 18,000 followers in (and counting!) in less than 8 hours' time.
While Katie may be new to the whole Twitter thing, she seems to be catching on quickly as she already replaced the egg avatar with a selfie AND knew how to tag her pals (The Giver co-stars) Taylor Swift and Jeff Bridges in a pic that she posted.
Katie shared the snapshot of the cast with the caption "@nssilver: loving South Africa!!! @taylorswift13 @TheJeffBridges @OdeyaRush1 @CameronMonaghan @thegivermovie."
Maybe Katie's fellow cast mates played a part in convincing her to join the social media site? Either way, we're glad she did!
Since Katie seems to be picking this whole Twitter thing up very quickly, she might already be ready to have her very first Twitter feud.
According to RadarOnline, Tori Spelling slams the actress in her new book, calling her "plastic" and saying she has a horrible singing voice.
