Justin Bieber shows off his tattooed torso in China as he strips off much to the delight of screaming fans

With 20 tattoos covering his body, Justin Bieber often uses flaunting his ink-work as just another excuse to take his clothes off.

The 19-year-old Canadian star did just that in Shanghai, China on Friday night as he stripped his shirt off in front a crowd of screaming fans.

The Baby singer was down to his leather trousers, boots and fingerless gloves at one stage during the sell-out concert - much to the pleasure of the adoring photo-snapping fanatics.

Biebs bounced around the stage at the Mercedes-Benz Arena with endless energy during the show, which is just the latest concert in the long-running Believe tour that has taken Justin all over the world.

Always excited to showcase his extensive artwork, the Grammy Award nominee revealed the latest addition on his right shoulder, which reads: 'Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path' - a quote from Bible verse Psalm 119:105, as reported by RadarOnline.com.

This is not the first religious themed tattoo that the wanna-be gangster has got, after inking Yeshua (meaning 'Jesus' in Hebrew) on his torso and a picture of Christ with a crown of thorns on his calf.

'I like classic, classic tattoos,' he once told talk show host Ellen DeGeneres.

As the lights dimmed, the Never Say Never singer sat down to play the piano during the show and looked to be barely dressed apart from the tiger on his bicep, which was a new edition in April and was initially spotted in Stockholm.

The teen sensation got his first tattoo when he was just 16 years old, and has admitted that they are a huge obsession to him.

While more covered up in a white vest, leather trousers and red trainers, the single star invited a smitten member of the audience on stage to serenade.

The embarrassed looking Chinese fan looked frozen in terror as the heartthrob leaned in and crooned at her intimately.

Wearing a crown of roses on her head, a pink tunic top and pink shoes, the girl was the centre of attention on stage as Justin did his break-out act.

Making almost as many different costume changes as Madonna or Lady Gaga, Justin broke out a glittering gold waistcoat for one song performance, which he wore over a white vest and trousers.

Another bright addition to his stage ensemble was giant red trainers paired with matching fingerless gloves.

Proving that he wasn't just a vapid pop star, the musician - who was voted as third-most powerful celebrity in the world by Forbes in 2012 - played an acoustic guitar as part of his varied set.

After taking China by storm - including his notorious trip up the Great Wall Of China on the shoulders of his bodyguards on Monday - Justin went on to the next location of his globe-trotting tour, Tokyo.

The 5'7" singer proved that he may be small in stature but really is big in Japan when he was greeted by a mass of screaming fans wanting photos and autographs when he landed in Haneda Airport on Saturday.

As the Japanese got serious Bieber Fever snapping out their iPhones, Justin took a selfie for one lucky lady as he held her cell out in front of himself and smiled for the camera.
